How to Use Alpha JEE Score Calculator
The Alpha JEE Score Calculator makes it easy to estimate your JEE Main performance in seconds — no spreadsheet needed.
- Enter Correct Answers — For each of the three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), enter the number of questions you answered correctly. Each section has a maximum of 30 questions.
- Enter Wrong Answers — Enter the number of incorrect responses. These attract a negative mark of −1 each in the official JEE Main marking scheme.
- Enter Unattempted Questions — Questions you left blank score zero and do not affect your mark, but entering them helps you verify that correct + wrong + unattempted = 30 per section.
- Read the result — The Alpha JEE Score Calculator displays the total raw score, section-wise scores, accuracy percentage, and summary statistics at a glance.
- Reset — Click Reset to Default to restore sample values.
The section score is displayed below each input group in real time, so you can immediately see how each subject is contributing to your total.
Formula & Theory — Alpha JEE Score Calculator
The Alpha JEE Score Calculator implements the official NTA JEE Main marking formula:
Section Score = (Correct × 4) − (Wrong × 1)
Total Score = Physics Score + Chemistry Score + Maths Score
| Symbol | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Correct | Number of questions answered correctly in a section (0–30) |
| Wrong | Number of questions answered incorrectly (0–30) |
| Unattempted | Questions skipped — score contribution is 0 |
| Section Score | Raw marks for one subject |
| Total Score | Sum of all three section scores (max 360) |
Accuracy
Accuracy (%) = (Total Correct / Total Attempted) × 100
where Total Attempted = Total Correct + Total Wrong.
Assumptions and Limits
The Alpha JEE Score Calculator assumes 30 questions per section with MCQ (single correct) marking (+4 / −1). Some JEE Main papers include numerical-value questions that are not penalized for wrong answers (+4 / 0). If your paper had such questions, adjust accordingly by treating unattempted marks for those as zero-penalty wrong answers.
The final percentile and rank depend on NTA’s normalization process across multiple sessions and shifts. Raw score alone does not determine your percentile.
