Formula & Theory - Duty Cycle Calculator

Duty cycle describes what fraction of one cycle is active or high. The calculator divides high time by total period and multiplies by 100. Low time is the remainder of the period. Because the period input is treated as milliseconds, frequency is calculated as 1000 divided by the period.
