How to Use Riven Calculator

The Riven Calculator helps Warframe players estimate Riven Mod stat ranges, reroll costs, and trade values.

  1. Enter Weapon Info — Select the weapon type (Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol, Melee, etc.) and set the Riven Disposition.
  2. Configure Stats — Choose 2 or 3 positive stats, 0 or 1 negative stat, and select specific stats from the dropdowns.
  3. Set Target — Select the positive and negative stats you want to roll for probability estimation.
  4. Enter Kuva Info — Input your current Kuva amount and farming rate to estimate time investment.
  5. Review Results — Check stat ranges, roll costs, target probability, quality score, and trade reference.

Formula & Theory — Riven Calculator

The Riven Calculator uses the following formulas:

Stat Range Calculation

Base Range = [Stat Min%, Stat Max%]
Disposition Multiplier = Disposition Value (0.5 to 1.5)
Negative Bonus = 1.25 if negative stat present, else 1.0
Positive Penalty = 0.75 if 3 positive stats, else 1.0

Final Min = Base Min × Disposition × Negative Bonus × Positive Penalty
Final Max = Base Max × Disposition × Negative Bonus × Positive Penalty
Average = (Final Min + Final Max) / 2

Reroll Cost

Cost = min(900 + Roll Count × 100, 3500)
Cumulative Cost(N) = Σ Cost(i) for i = current_roll to current_roll + N - 1
RollCost (Kuva)
0900
11,000
21,100
26+3,500 (cap)

Target Roll Probability

Pool Size ≈ 25 positive stats, 26 negative stats
P(exact combo) = 1 / (Pool × (Pool-1) × ... for each selected stat)
Expected Rolls = 1 / P
Expected Kuva = Cumulative Cost(expected rolls)
Farming Time = Expected Kuva / Kuva Per Hour

Quality Score

Base Score = 50
+ Disposition Bonus: (Disposition - 1) × 20
+ Synergy Bonus: Synergy Level × 10
- Harmful Negative Penalty: -15
+ Beneficial Negative Bonus: +10
- High Roll Penalty: -10 (if rolls > 50), -10 more (if rolls > 100)
Score RangeRating
85-100God Roll
70-84Great
50-69Good
30-49Average
0-29Poor

Trade Reference

Low Reference = Quality Score × 10 × Disposition × 0.5
Mid Reference = Quality Score × 10 × Disposition × 1.0
High Reference = Quality Score × 10 × Disposition × 2.0

Note: These are rough estimates. Actual market prices depend on weapon popularity, meta shifts, and supply/demand.

Use Cases for Riven Calculator

The Riven Calculator is useful for many Warframe player scenarios:

  • Reroll planning — Estimate how much Kuva you need to spend to get your desired stat combination.
  • Keep or reroll decision — Use the quality score to decide whether your current roll is good enough to keep.
  • Trade valuation — Get a rough reference range before listing a Riven on the market.
  • Farming time estimation — Calculate how long you need to farm Kuva based on your farming rate.
  • Stat comparison — Compare different stat configurations to find the best synergy for your weapon.
  • Budget planning — Check if your current Kuva reserves are enough for the expected number of rolls.
  • Build optimization — Evaluate whether a Riven’s stat ranges fit your weapon build strategy.

Frequently asked questions about Riven Calculator

What is a Riven Calculator?

A Riven Calculator is a tool for Warframe players to estimate Riven Mod stat ranges, Kuva reroll costs, target stat roll probability, quality scoring, and basic trade reference values. It helps you decide whether to keep, reroll, or trade a Riven Mod.

How does Riven Disposition affect stats?

Riven Disposition is a multiplier (1 to 5 stars) assigned to each weapon. Higher disposition means higher stat ranges on Riven Mods for that weapon. Popular weapons typically have lower disposition, while rarely used weapons have higher disposition. The disposition multiplier directly scales the minimum and maximum values of each stat.

How much Kuva do I need to reroll a Riven?

The base reroll cost is 900 Kuva, increasing by 100 Kuva per roll, capped at 3,500 Kuva per roll. For example, the first roll costs 900, the second costs 1,000, and so on up to 3,500. Use the calculator to see cumulative costs for 10, 25, 50, or 100 rolls.

What makes a good Riven roll?

A good Riven roll has synergistic positive stats that benefit the weapon's strengths (e.g., Critical Chance and Critical Damage for crit weapons), a harmless or beneficial negative stat, and high disposition. The quality score considers stat synergy, negative impact, disposition, roll count, and build compatibility.

Is the trade reference price accurate?

No. The trade reference is a rough estimate based on quality score and disposition. Actual Riven prices vary significantly based on weapon popularity, current meta, stat combinations, and market supply/demand. Always check current market listings on warframe.market or in-game trade chat before buying or selling.

What is the difference between 2 and 3 positive stats?

A Riven with 3 positive stats has each individual stat reduced by approximately 25% compared to a 2-positive-stat Riven, but the total combined value is higher. Having a negative stat further boosts positive stats by approximately 25%. The optimal configuration depends on your build needs.

Can I save my Riven data?

This calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your input data is not saved between sessions. For persistent tracking, note down your Riven's stats externally. The calculator is designed for quick estimation and planning.

Does this calculator work for all weapon types?

Yes. The calculator supports Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol, Melee, Zaw, Kitgun, Archgun, and Archmelee weapon types. Each type uses the same disposition scaling system. You can also manually adjust the disposition value.
