How to Use the EASI Score Calculator

For head/neck, trunk, upper limbs, and lower limbs, choose the area score and severity scores for erythema, infiltration/papulation, excoriation, and lichenification.

The calculator applies body-region weights and sums regional scores into a 0–72 EASI total. Higher scores indicate greater combined extent and severity.

Formula and Method - EASI Score Calculator

EASI = Σ(region area score × region severity sum × region weight)

EASI multiplies area involvement by four clinical signs, then applies body surface area weights: head/neck 0.1, trunk 0.3, upper limbs 0.2, lower limbs 0.4.

Use Cases for the EASI Score Calculator

  • Tracking eczema or atopic dermatitis severity before and after treatment.
  • Recording standardized outcomes in clinical research.
  • Identifying which body region contributes most to the total score.
